About Nellis AFB


Nellis Air Force Base is located approximately eight miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada, and operates under Air Combat Command. The installation is a premier center for advanced combat aviation training, supporting a wide range of missions and aircraft, including fighter, bomber, refueling, command and control, and rescue operations.

Nellis AFB is home to more than 14,000 military members and civilian employees and supports a large military community that includes families and retirees throughout Southern Nevada. With a distinguished history dating back to World War II, the base continues to play a critical role in joint and coalition training, operational testing, and tactics development in support of national defense.

About Creech AFB


Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, is home to the 432d Wing and 432d Air Expeditionary Wing, known as the “Hunters.” The base supports combat-ready Airmen who operate the MQ-1B Predator and MQ-9 Reaper aircraft in support of U.S. and coalition forces worldwide. Creech AFB also hosts several active-duty, Guard, Reserve, and test units, making it a key hub for remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) operations.

Originally established during World War II as Indian Springs Airport, the installation has served the nation in a variety of roles for more than 70 years. It was redesignated Creech Air Force Base in 2005 in honor of General Wilbur L. Creech, a former Tactical Air Command commander and strong advocate for modern airpower.

Today, Creech AFB employs approximately 3,000 military members and civilians and conducts around-the-clock operations supporting global contingency missions. The base continues its long tradition of innovation, readiness, and support to national defense.
